My wish for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it. To your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small. You never need to carry more then you can hold.

Stephenie clearly put alot of thought into creating Carlisle, and just seems to drop him.

I’m far more interested in Carlisle, seeing his backstory, seeing him travel Europe, spend time with the Volturi then go on to be this Dr and clearly inspiring person, than i am in Edward whining about how hard it all is and sulking all the time.

It’s such a shame that Carlisle just seems to be in the background.

But for me, he’s always upfront :)

Just a question: Why does Stephenie Meyer create such amazing secondary characters but the main ones are less so and harder to relate to?

Take Carlisle Cullen for example. I find him to be the most fascinating character of the entire Twilight series yet he is relegated to a minor role. I have posted about this before but seriously there is a lot that Stephenie could have done with Carlisle, hell she could have just focused on the love story between Carlisle & Esme and that still would have been far more compelling.

Carlisle is at least 350 years old and is different to any other vampire. I would love to have read how Carlisle developed his amazing control, his travels and adventures before he created his family.

I do like the story of Edward and Bella but I can’t understand for the life of me how these two ended up being the main focus of the Twilight Saga.

(about the audition process of Twilight)
Rob: (…) We did a couple of the scenes that are in the movie like the biology scene and um…some other scene, that was in the garden? I don’t know what it was about, lots of prancing.
Kristen: What? Listen man, you better watch it because this is near and dear.
Rob: What? No, I was.
Kristen: We did no prancing.
Rob: That’s how I got the part. What’s wrong with prancing? (laughs)

About Bella and Edward in Isle Esme

Interviewer: You said that they could brake the headboard?

Elizabeth: Well I knew that they’re going to be … you know …

Peter: I’m still a little pissed at that … That headboard was from the 1600’s.

Elizabeth: {laughs} I know, we’ll get it put back together.
